SI Space Ideation projects

Our Mission
SI Projects is a dynamic platform for art practice and practitioners, where the process of developing ideas invloves mini interventions into real and virtual spaces.

Our Story
SI (Space Ideation) Projects was founded in 1991 by Kurdish-Australian artist Sardar Sinjawi during a formative project at the Media Gallery in Erbil, Kurdistan. Conceived as a platform for experimental and conceptual practice, SI was established to explore the evolving boundaries of contemporary art.
Rooted in Sinjawi’s commitment to innovation and material inquiry, SI Projects serves as a space for ideation, reflection, and transformation. It supports a wide range of interdisciplinary works—from sculptural installations to photomedia—encouraging engagement with perception, space, and the shifting role of the viewer.
Today, SI Projects continues to foster a dynamic environment for artistic experimentation, inviting new perspectives and challenging conventional approaches to contemporary aesthetics.
